Hawthorne Hawthorne
Our Community

The Hawthorne was developed beginning in 2004 with a natural esthetic in mind.  To this end, native grasses, trees and plants were maintained or restored wherever possible.  The Hawthorne today has developed into several distinct neighborhoods with 257 homes.  These areas include two gated communities (The Rosemont with 19 homes and The Lindsey with 8 homes) and a garden home neighborhood with 21 homes (The Glen), which provides partial maintenance and other amenities.  Winding through The Hawthorne neighborhoods are numerous ponds, native grass areas and woodland areas.  These scenic wildlife areas are part of a system of platted "Reserves" which also include entrance monuments and lights, lighted bridges, walking paths, water features and a community swimming pool.  The ponds are often frequented by fisher birds such as Egrets and Herons, as well as a wide variety of migratory waterfowl.  Hawks, Owls and many species of songbirds abound throughout the area.  Deer as well as other common woodland creatures are often seen as well.
